  • I missed this (from last summer), but Forbes says Poughkeepsie area ranks 17 (just after San Diego and before Indianapolis) in the U.S. for finding a job. That may be news to many area job-seekers. Construction and health-care are listed as main drivers of job growth. Forbes says they use government data, but they are a particularly list-happy publication, so while the entertainment value is high, I always take them with a grain of salt.
